Daniel Stover N. Allen (March 8, 1839 - March 8, 1920) served as a private in Company A, 13th Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry.
Allen was born to John T. and Lucinda (Stover) Allen in Carter County, Tennessee on March 8, 1839. He married Mary Ann Campbell (1840 - 1900) on November 15, 1865, with whom he had at least two children.

Daniel Allen enlisted in Company A on September 22, 1863 at Strawberry Plains, Tennessee for a period of three years. He mustered in October 28, 1863.
Allen is listed as present for duty until August 28, 1864 when he is reported as "Absent sick at Gen Hospital Knoxville Tenn. since August 28-64." He was present for duty by the next muster roll for May and June 1865.
He mustered out with the regiment at Knoxville on September 5, 1865. At the time he was owed $25.27 in pay and $75.00 in bounty.
Allen applied for an invalid's pension dated June 12, 1873. He died March 8, 1920 in Laurel County, Kentucky and is buried at Highland Cemetery in Elizabethton, Tennessee. According to his death certificate, he was a mill operator.
