Godfrey Booker "G.B." Dunn (October 28, 1839 - November 1, 1927) served as a private in Company F, 13th Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry.

Personal life[]
Godfrey Dunn was born October 28, 1839 in Johnson County, Tennessee to Henry Washington and Mary (Minks) Dunn. He married Rachel Matilda Wilson (1851-1921) with whom he had at least eight children.
Civil War service[]
Dunn enlisted in as a private in Company F on September 22, 1863 in Washington County, Tennessee for a period of three years. He mustered in November 8, 1863 in Knox County, Tennessee.
At enlistment, Dunn was 23 years old, 5'8" tall, fair complexion, blue eyes, dark hair, and by occupation a farmer. He is listed as present for duty throughout his term of service.[1]
Dunn mustered out with regiment on September 5, 1865 at Knoxville. He had last been paid to August 31, 1864. Dunn owed $43.50 to the government for clothing, had received a bounty of $25 and was owed a $75 bounty.
Post-war life[]
Dunn applied for an invalid's pension on November 14, 1888.
He died November 1, 1927 in Johnson County, Tennessee and is buried at McEwen Cemetery in Johnson County.

- ↑ The muster record for July and August 1865 have him at No. 1 U.S.A. General Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Because no record of illness for him is found, it can be assumed that he simply may have been on hospital duty there.
