Henry Willis Jackson (September 22, 1842 - June 15, 1930) served as a corporal in Company F, 13th Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry.

Personal life[]
Henry Jackson was born April 28, 1843 in Johnson County, Tennessee to William R. and Mahulda (Dunn) Jackson. He married Dialpha Wilson (1850-1929) with whom he had four children.[1]
Civil War service[]
Jackson enlisted as a private in Company F on September 22, 1863 in Washington County, Tennessee for a period of three years and mustered in November 8, 1863 at Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. He was appointed corporal on August 17, 1865.
He is described as 18 years old, 5' 8" tall, fair complexion, dark eyes, dark hair, and by occupation a farmer.
Jackson is listed as present for duty throughout his term of service for which muster roll records have survived.
Jackson mustered out with the regiment on September 5, 1865 at Knoxville. He had last been paid to August 31, 1864, owed $23.30 to the government for clothing, had been paid a $25 bounty, and was owed a $75 bounty.
Post-war life[]
Jackson applied for an invalid's pension on December 5, 1889 from Kentucky. He died June 15, 1930 in Knox County, Kentucky and is buried at Willis Cemetery in Cannon, Kentucky.
