Henry Oldom (b. abt 1846) served as an under cook in Company I, 13th Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry. He is one of twenty-three black men known to have served with the regiment, all of whom served as company cooks.

Henry Oldom was born about 1846 in Overton County, Tennessee.
Civil War service
Oldom enlisted in Company I on September 22, 1864 at Bulls Gap, Tennessee for a period of three years. He never mustered in.
At enlistment he was 18 years old, 5' 3" tall, black complexion, black eyes, and black hair. His occupation
According to the muster rolls Oldom deserted on December 7, 1864. He owed the government $14.60 for clothing in kind or money advanced.
Later life
No further information about Davis nor the location of his grave has been found.
