William Floyd (b. about 1845 - August 28, 1911) served as a private in Company E, 13th Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry.

Civil War service
Floyd enlisted in as a private in Company D on September 24, 1863 in Greeneville, Tennessee for a period of three years. He mustered in November 8, 1863 in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. He was transferred on November 9, 1863 to Company D by order of Colonel Miller.
He is listed as present for duty throughout his term of service.
When the regiment mustered out on September 5, 1865 at Knoxville, it was recorded that he had last been paid to August 31, 1864, owed $22.84 to the government for his clothing, had received a bounty of $25, and was owed a $75 bounty.
Floyd died August 28, 1911 and is buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas.
