William A. Martin (abt. 1844 - December 9, 1863) served as a corporal in Company B, 13th Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry.

Personal life

William Martin was born about 1844. No other information about his personal life has been located.

Civil War service

Martin enlisted in Company B on September 22, 1863 and was mustered in October 28, 1863. No further record of Martin's service has survived.

He is noted in the regimental history's Roll of Honor as being age 19 and died December 9, 1863 due to disease at Camp Nelson, Kentucky.[1]

He is likely buried at Camp Nelson National Cemetery near Nicholasville, Kentucky with an unknown soldier's marker.
